As a child, mermaid Freya was saved by fisherman Henry. To repay him, she marries his grandson Anderson for three years and secretly helps him with magic. Anderson treats her with contempt and believes his ex Chloe's lies. When their agreement expires, Freya signs the divorce papers. Henry's flash drive reveals the truth, and Anderson begs her to return. At the Admiralty Circle induction ceremony, Freya is revealed as the Sea Goddess. Exposed, Chloe attacks with a dagger; Anderson takes the blow. Freya heals him, but whether she will love him again remains uncertain.
